- William Holmes McGuffey, McGuffey’s Newly Revised Eclectic Primer (1836)
- Samuel Goodrich, Peter Parley’s Universal History (1837)
- William James, Pragmatism (1907)
- Jack Ezra Keats, The Snowy Day (1962)
